Remote Controls : 485-bus Junction Box (CJ01)

The Dedicated Micros 485-bus Junction Box (Keyboard Extender) can be used for various applications; designed to extend the distance of 485-bus peripheral equipment, provide conversion from MMJ to standard UTP and supply 12Vdc power ‘up the line’.

Using the 485 junction box extends provides the option to extend the distance that any 485-bus device (remote keyboard, alarm module, etc.) can be located from the main unit. The junction box converts from MMJ to UTP Cat 5 and using an additional power supply the signal is amplified allowing the usual 3 meters (from main unit to device) to be increased.

The junction box can also be utilised as a power break out connector for DM 485-bus devices, taking a 12V supply this can be distributed as required.

The DM 485-bus Junction Box increases the scope for including the Dedicated Micros DVR and multiplexers into a system solution and allows the overall surveillance area to be increased; this is achieved without loss of performance for control.
