The Dedicated Micros 485-bus Video Switcher is a composite video matrix switcher and has been designed to receive video from multiple DM multiplexers and DVRs and route these video images for presenting to the Operator in a control room environment.
Acting as a central ‘concentrator’ the DM video switcher takes the video from the monitor outputs of up to 16 DM devices and routes these to the 16 outputs on the video switcher itself in any combination required; 16 x 16 (main or spot monitors) or 8 x 8 (main and spot).
Two CX02 units systems can be used together to support up to 256 cameras and 32 monitors, while any one of up to 16 keyboards can direct any camera to any monitor.
Although acting as a concentrator the video switcher can be used for single operator applications giving a Central Monitoring scenario for control of multiple sites or allowing multiple Operators control of any of the monitors by utilising the DM remote keyboards.
The various combinations supported with the video switcher demonstrates the flexibility of the unit and ensures it can be designed into any application requiring a central collection point for multiple locations.
